WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Early Career Civil Engineer (Overhead Transmission Lines) for our Birmingham, AL office with consideration for Ft Mill, SC.

You will support data collection, analysis, site inspections, and documentation to help advance power delivery projects. The role emphasizes learning design/build concepts, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with the Power Delivery Birmingham Line Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with design/build concepts and related processes.
• Familiarity with civil construction laws, codes, regulations, and record-keeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to meet objectives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic technical writing.

Responsabilités

• Assist data collection, compilation, and analysis from on-site surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and other matrices.
• Support basic professional civil engineering tasks, inspections, and conformance checks.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and safety considerations.
• Verify site characteristics and provide technical input on engineering and construction issues.
• Generate accurate documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field logs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, and project-specific requirements.
• Complete assigned training tasks and adapt to project needs.
• Uphold the company code of conduct and safety policies.
• Travel as required by project needs.
