Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) in Houston, TX is seeking an Associate Project Consultant to join our Building Technology division. You will work under a licensed engineer to assist with new design, evaluation, and repairs for existing buildings, with emphasis on exterior envelopes.

Candidates have a Bachelor in Architectural/ Civil/Structural Engineering and 0–5 years of experience; travel to sites, climb ladders, and strong communication are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering required or relevant.
0–5 years of experience; EIT preferred.
Interest in building construction and solving engineering problems.
Committed to lifelong learning and strong communication skills.
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report required.

Responsibilities

Assist with new design, evaluation, and repairs for existing buildings.
Work under licensed engineer to study and design repairs as needed.
Travel to multiple job sites and climb ladders/scaffolds as required.
Communicate findings clearly to clients and internal teams.
