Job summary

Amazon in Kansas is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced fulfillment center. You will mentor, coach, and develop staff while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity on all shifts.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to work nights and weekends, and a degree in progress or completed. Relocation benefits may apply and you will directly influence customer deliveries.

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, motivate and develop a team of 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Walk the floor and lead from the floor to drive safety, quality and productivity.
• Manage shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages, operate equipment as applicable.
• Ensure a safe, organized work area and communicate shift outcomes to leadership.
