Job summary

Amazon in Kansas/Olathe is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and actively engage them during shifts to ensure safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will help meet customer delivery expectations by coordinating across Enter/Last mile workflows and cross-functional partners.

The role requires 2+ years of people management, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in a loud environment with variable temperatures.
