Job summary

WSP is seeking an On-Call Early Career Archaeological Field Technician for our Albuquerque, New Mexico office, with field duties extending into Texas. You will support cultural resources projects, conducting fieldwork, reporting, and mitigation for pre-construction design and engineering.

Minimum qualifications include 0–3 years in cultural resource management, GPS data collection, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of experience in cultural resource management.
• Knowledge of public and private sector requirements for cultural resources surveys.
• Ability to travel 2–10 days at a time, particularly in SE NM area.
• Ability to navigate and collect data using GPS equipment.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills for a technical and non-technical audience.
• Proficiency with business writing and office software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cultural resources fieldwork, reporting, and mitigation for pre-construction project design and engineering.
• Help with fieldwork, monitoring, data collection, inventory, analyses, and site form preparation.
• Stay up-to-date with Section 106 regulations and planning practices.
