Job summary

WSP currently has opportunities for On Call Early Career Archaeology Field Technicians for project work in Arizona. Selected applicants will be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Cultural Resource Team and will have open opportunities to become a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their cultural resource challenges.

WSP is currently looking to fill multiple hourly, project-based positions.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History or related field.
0–1 years of professional level experience in archaeological/historic preservation planning.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of cultural resources regulations and North American archaeology.
Ability to perform pedestrian survey and carry equipment; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Assist with Class I-Class III assessments and avoidance recommendations.
Support cultural resource investigations for client projects under NEPA/NHPA/NAGPRA compliance.
Travel to project sites in Arizona and possibly New Mexico; per diem provided.
Contribute to data collection and reporting, including IMACS forms.
