Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an early-career AI Software Engineer to bridge cutting-edge machine learning with scalable software production. You will build, optimize, test, and deploy AI models within an AI platform, collaborating across software, ML, and hardware teams.

Responsibilities include deploying ML models, profiling latency and memory, and designing maintainable software components and APIs, with emphasis on performance and trade-off communication.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in CS/CE/DS from an accredited program.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong OO programming fundamentals and version control experience.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and communicate trade-offs.
• English language fluency in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, deploy, test, and scale ML models within production-oriented AI pipelines.
• Profile latency, memory usage, throughput, and optimize inference workflows for edge or cloud.
• Design and implement maintainable software components and APIs using modern tools.
• Own technical documentation for designs, experiments, benchmarks, interfaces, and APIs.
