Job summary

BakerRipley’s Coastal Bend team is seeking an Early Care and Education Specialist in Corpus Christi, TX. You will recruit and support child care providers through hands-on coaching, technical assistance, and TRS trainings, visiting providers on site to help them meet certification standards.

The role focuses on building partnerships, delivering developmentally appropriate materials, and elevating early learning for children and families across an eleven-county region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related fields (as listed).
• Bachelor’s with 18 ECE credits and 12 in child development.
• Associate’s degree with two years’ director experience in an early childhood program.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on coaching and technical assistance to TRS-registered providers.
• Deliver trainings and distribute developmentally appropriate materials.
• Conduct on-site visits to mentor providers toward TRS certification standards.
• Build strong partnerships to elevate early learning experiences for children and families.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in ECE / related fields

18 credit hours in ECE / related + 12 credit hours in child development

In this dynamic, relationship-focused role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner within the Texas Rising Star program, recruiting and supporting child care providers through hands‑on coaching, technical assistance, and delivery of impactful trainings. You’ll conduct on‑site visits to mentor and guide providers toward meeting TRS certification standards while assessing needs, sharing resources, and distributing developmentally appropriate materials that enhance classroom environments. By building strong, collaborative relationships and delivering high‑quality support, you’ll help elevate early learning experiences for children and families. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science; OR


• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with at least 18 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science with at least 12 credit hours in child development; OR


• Associate’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science with two years of experience as a director in an early childhood program, with preference given for required experience with a provider that is accredited or TRS certified.

Experience

• 1 year of full‑time early childhood classroom experience in a childcare, Early Head Start, Head Star or prekindergarten through third grade school program.
