Job summary

The Michigan State Police is hiring three limited-term Departmental Technicians (levels 7, 8, and E9) to support the eApplications Unit, which develops and deploys new software systems including Incident, eCrash, eCitation, and eDaily reporting tools scheduled to go-live in February 2027. The positions provide 24/7 user support and administrative assistance and are based in Dimondale, Michigan.

The appointment is limited-term with expiration up to 2 years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• One year of administrative support experience at the appropriate level (7, 8, or E9) in state service, or equivalent technician/paraprofessional experience.
• Passing pre-employment screening including drug screen, criminal background check, and fingerprint check.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience (depending on level).

• Learn and assist with the new modernized programs before launch.
