Position Summary
  • Fully Remote ANYWHERE within the continental U.S.

Monday Through Friday, 11:15 am - 7:45 pm Eastern Time

The WorkLife Consultant (WLC) is part of the WorkLife Team and provides education about community resources, resource needs assessment, and community and/or national referrals to a variety of customers for needs including childcare, elder/adult care, and basic/everyday needs. The WLC is responsible for providing Worklife consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors. Common requests include emergency financial, housing, childcare with special needs, elder/adult care, and health-related needs.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assess resource needs, propose options, and research/screen potential community service providers to meet these needs.
  • Provide resource referrals and educate individuals on how to utilize resources for various life and work situations.
  • Document member interactions and research/case fulfillment appropriately in the system.
  • Work in an inbound and outbound call center environment, including making outbound calls and conducting research.
  • Handle calls that may be administrative or customer service-oriented, not solely research/referral.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including staffing an online chat platform.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience educating individuals/families on community resources and referring to these resources (e.g., elder care, food assistance, transportation, housing, rental assistance, support groups, human services).
  • At least 1 year of experience working with elderly and/or adults with disabilities, including resource needs assessments and referrals.
  • At least 1 year of experience in social work, social services, case management, or related fields (e.g., intake/assessments, discharge planning, advocacy).
  • At least 1 year of experience conducting resource needs assessments (e.g., eldercare, rent/utilities, childcare).
  • Reliable internet access with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload, wired directly to the modem.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish language skills.
  • Experience in a call center environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related health/social services field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $19.52 - $40.90

This range reflects the base hourly or full-time salary, with actual offers depending on experience, education, location, and other factors. The role may include bonuses or incentives.
