Position Summary

Fully Remote ANYWHERE within the continental U.S.

Training hours: 9 - 5:30 EST or CST

Work hours after training: 10 - 6:30 pm EST

The WorkLife Consultant (WLC) is part of the WorkLife Team and provides education about community resources, resource needs assessment, and community and/or national referrals to a variety of customers for needs including childcare, elder/adult care, and basic/everyday needs. The WLC is responsible for providing Worklife consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors. The most frequent requests are for emergency financial, housing, childcare/children with special needs, elder/adult care, and health-related needs.

Additional Responsibilities
  1. The WLC assesses resource needs, proposes options, and researches/screens potential community service providers to meet the assessed needs.
  2. Provides resource referrals and educates individuals on how to use resources to handle various life and work situations.
  3. Appropriately documents member interactions and research/case fulfillment in the system.
  4. Works in an inbound and outbound call center environment, completing outbound calls and research.
  5. Some calls may be administrative or customer service oriented, not all are research/referral.
  6. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs, including staffing an online chat platform.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience educating individuals/families on community resources and referring to these resources.
  • 1+ year of experience working with the elderly and/or adults with disabilities, including resource needs assessments and referrals.
  • 1+ year of experience in social work, social services, case management, or related fields.
  • Experience conducting resource needs assessments (e.g., eldercare, housing, childcare).
  • Must have access to broadband or fiber internet with a minimum speed of 25mbps/3mbps, hardwired into your modem, not Wi-Fi.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking
  • Experience in a call center environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Clear and detailed written communication skills
  • Clear and professional verbal communication skills
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related health/social services field required.
  • Master's degree in Social Work preferred.

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Time type: Full time

Pay Range

The typical pay range is $21.10 - $44.99 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location. This role is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or incentives.
