Job summary

AllOne Health in Merrillville, IN is seeking a full-time EAP Counselor to join our workplace behavioral health team.

You will assess clients, refer to services, provide short-term counseling, and collaborate with employers and HR to coordinate care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work or related disciplines.
  • Previous clinical experience.
  • LCSW, LMHC or LCAC Preferred.
  • Clinical licensure in Indiana; IN and IL licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine the nature of a client's mental health and or issues with substance misuse.
  • Develop counseling goals based on the assessment.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling and follow-up, including follow-up to employers.
  • Provide education about substance misuse, risks, symptoms, and impacts on personal and professional life.
  • Provide crisis management services to nearby accounts that the office services.
  • Identify external resources including treatment facilities, treatment providers, and support groups. Follow-up with these resources for the clients whom you refer there.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information; adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of client assessments, progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR and or managers .
  • Work with medical professionals and or other treatment providers to provide comprehensive coordination of care to clients.

Position Summary:
