Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work (BSW) required; Master of Social Work (MSW) preferred.
• Current, unrestricted Minnesota social work licensure in good standing (LSW/LGSW/LISW).
• Two to four years of professional experience in case management, EAP, or mental health settings.
• Strong knowledge of local community resources and public assistance programs.
• Exceptional emotional intelligence and ability to manage crisis situations.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and technology skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; other software as required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Class D driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary greeter for employees at the EAP office and maintain a confidential environment.
• Manage reception, handle calls, respond to inquiries, and triage crisis walk-ins.
• Oversee scheduling, confidential calendars, and intake flow for counselors.
• Conduct preliminary screenings and psychosocial assessments.
• Provide initial crisis intervention and de-escalation for acutely distressed employees.
• Identify red flags and expedite appropriate clinical care.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of local resources (food banks, clinics, legal aid, housing).
• Navigate social service networks to connect employees with resources quickly.
• Assist employees with paperwork, benefits, and program applications.
• Act as liaison between employees and external service providers.
• Maintain confidential client records.
• Coordinate with HR to integrate EAP with workplace wellness.
• Maintain cultural humility and inclusive services.
• Participate in peer consultation and ongoing professional development.
• Uphold ethics and licensing standards.
