Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking an EAP Consultant, Mid to join our growing team in a role focused on clinical telephonic assessments and referrals under the Employee Assistance Program. You will perform assessments, provide referrals, and ensure follow-up for managers, employees, and their families.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, offering expert consultations, and supporting HR with management guidance while adhering to HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• 3–5 years employment in mental health where assessment of mental illness and substance abuse was a key function.
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws and their exceptions.
• EAP experience (2 years preferred).
• Independent license and CEAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and urgent clinical risk assessments, offering expert consultations and referrals.
• Provide management consultation services to various levels of management and HR.
• Maintain understanding of customer base and issues affecting customers.
• Engage in additional duties to support EAP goals.
• Read, understand, and adhere to HIPAA and related policies.

Skills

Master's degree in social work

3–5 years mental health experience

Confidentiality laws knowledge

Excellent written and verbal comms

Calmness in crisis
