Job summary

Acentra Health is hiring an EAP Consultant, Mid to join our growing team. The EAP Consultant performs clinical telephonic assessments and referrals, ensuring diligent follow-up for managers, employees, and their family members covered by the Employee Assistance Program.

Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, providing management consultation, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of issues affecting customers while adhering to HIPAA and security rules.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• 3–5 years in the mental health field where assessment of mental illness and substance abuse was key.
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws and their exceptions.
• EAP experience preferred.
• Independent license and CEAP preferred.
• Strong customer service skills; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to stay calm in a crisis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical risk assessments, offering expert consultations, short-term issue resolution, and comprehensive referral services.
• Provide management consultation to various levels of management and human resources.
• Display understanding of the organization's customer base and stay updated on issues affecting customers.
• Engage in additional duties to support internal and external customers in achieving EAP goals.
• Read, understand, and adhere to policies including HIPAA and Privacy/Security Rules.
