Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Service Engineer - Level 2 Telco RAN E2E to ensure end-to-end service stability for satellite-to-mobile services. This role acts as the technical authority across satellite, RAN, core, and OSS, coordinating with PSC Agents, NOC Telco Engineers, and Managed Services to restore and validate service during launch and steady-state operations.

You will analyze service degradation, correlate data across domains, and lead multi-domain troubleshooting to identify root causes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of telecom operations, service assurance, NOC engineering, or network troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting cross-domain issues in mobile, satellite, or hybrid telecom environments.
• Understanding end-to-end telecom architecture (RAN, core, transport, OSS, and satellite).
• Hands-on analysis of KPIs, alarms, logs, and traces across domains.
• Knowledge of signaling, session management, mobility, and service continuity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze service degradation across satellite, RAN, core, transport, and OSS.
• Correlate alarms, KPIs, and logs to determine end-to-end behavior.
• Lead multi-domain troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Validate fixes and ensure full end-to-end service restoration.
• Coordinate with NOC and Managed Services teams during incidents.
• Contribute to RCA inputs and service-improvement recommendations.
