Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a RAN System Engineer to define, integrate, and optimize LTE/5G radio systems across our space-ground infrastructure. You will drive performance models, optimize beam transitions, and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cellular system engineering or RAN performance/architecture roles (vendor experience preferred).
• Hands-on experience with 4G/5G networks and practical deployment/optimization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure robust operation of terrestrial RAN features over space-based infrastructure via CPRI/eCPRI interfaces.
• Own cell- and network-level performance modeling including spectral efficiency, cell density, beam transitions, and interference mitigation.
• Drive end-to-end feature provisioning from requirements to validation and enablement across the network.
