Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance invites you to grow with a 12-week summer internship on our Excess Casualty team. You’ll work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining exposure to senior management and company executives while contributing to real, meaningful work in a fast-growing environment.

As an intern, you’ll handle broker correspondence, prepare accounts for modeling, draft quotes and binders, and support policy issuance and endorsements.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in risk management/insurance, Finance or Business.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Correspondence with brokers, vendors, underwriting team members.
• Preparation of accounts for modeling.
• Drafting quotes and binders.
• Post-binding account changes/transactions.
• Policy issuance including correspondence to drafting team and broker to ensure policy is issued per binder.
• Endorsement processing and issuance.
• Accurate and timely status of accounts within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle.
• Other duties as assigned.
