Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. offers a 12-week summer internship on the Excess Casualty team, providing real, meaningful work and mentorship from experienced professionals.

You will engage in tasks across underwriting support, modeling prep, and policy administration, building industry knowledge while expanding your professional network. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in risk management/insurance, finance, or business, with strong communication, organization, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in risk management/insurance, Finance or Business.
• Able to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Correspondence with brokers, vendors, underwriting team members.
• Preparation of accounts for modeling.
• Drafting quotes and binders.
• Post-binding account changes/transactions.
• Policy issuance including correspondence to drafting team and broker.
• Endorsement processing and issuance.
• Maintain accurate and timely status of accounts within underwriting systems.
• Support internal controls and assist internal audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
