Job summary

FCCI Insurance Group is seeking an E&S Claim Adjuster to investigate and adjust assigned Excess & Surplus lines claims requiring expertise in coverage, analysis, jurisdictional and diversity issues, litigation management, and expense exposures.

The role involves 20% travel for mediations and trials and offers a hybrid work arrangement at multiple regional locations or remote within FCCI territory. Salary ranges are provided with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience investigating and adjusting E&S claims.
• Knowledge of coverage evaluation and litigation management.
• Ability to develop disposition strategies and work with defense counsel.
• Strong reporting and communication with management and policyholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% for mediations and trials.

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned E&S claims, including initial investigation, coverage evaluation, settlement negotiation, and reserve setting within authority limits and company best practices.
• Develop litigation/file disposition strategies and direct defense counsel on litigated files.
• Provide comprehensive and timely reporting on claim status to claims management, policyholders, and independent agents.
• Recognize exposures, apply reserving philosophy, and escalate to management when necessary.
• Conduct field work such as meetings, inspections, damage assessments, and evidence documentation.
• Attend mediations and manage claims effectively to closure, coordinating with independent adjusters and vendors.
