Job summary

Ledgebrook Insurance, LLC. is seeking a Casualty Underwriter focused on General Liability with an E&S background. You will work with wholesale brokers to drive appetite submissions, quote, and convert opportunities while underwriting new business and renewals across multiple industry segments.

The role emphasizes data-driven risk selection, profitability, and strong broker partnerships. Travel to meet brokers or attend industry events may be required; equity incentives and competitive base

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Casualty underwriter.
• Experience with admitted and non-admitted paper.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and as team player or independently.
• Underwrite new business and renewals for Casualty.
• Strong wholesale broker trading relationships.
• Understanding of pricing and risk selection to achieve profitable loss ratios.
• Advanced data analysis and portfolio management skills.
• Innovative problem solving and solutioning abilities.
• Customer service focused mindset and behaviours.
• Entrepreneurial drive to build and win with a high performing team.
• Willingness to travel to meet brokers or attend events.

Responsibilities

• Interact with wholesale trading partners over the phone, virtually, and in person to drive appetite submissions.
• Quote and convert opportunities with profitable terms.
• Underwrite new business and renewals for Casualty lines with E&S focus.
