Job summary

Northeastern State University is seeking an E-Resource Management Librarian/Instructor of Library Services to lead the full lifecycle of electronic resources and ensure seamless access for NSU’s students and faculty. The role blends technical management with negotiation and collaboration across the NSU Libraries.

Qualifications

• Professional master’s degree in library science or equivalent accreditation.
• Experience with electronic resource management and licensing.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills.
• Experience negotiating license agreements with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of electronic resources (trial, acquisition, renewal, cancellation).
• Ensure reliable access for on- and off-campus users; configure vendor platforms and proxy data.
• Negotiate license agreements and evaluate compliance with policies and accessibility standards.
• Analyze usage statistics (COUNTER/SUSHI) to inform budgeting and collection decisions.
• Maintain ERM/LMS records and manage resource discovery; provide training to staff.
• Collaborate with departments and participate in library committees; stay current on scholarly communication trends.
