Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Electronic Resources Management to oversee the library's electronic resources program across Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide campuses.

The role reports to the Senior Associate Director for Collection Strategy & Technical Services and leads licensing, assessment, and lifecycle management of electronic resources.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years managing electronic resources, budgets, and workflows in an academic library.
• Experience negotiating electronic resource licenses and vendor agreements.
• Experience with Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE, OpenAthens, COUNTER/SUSHI, Alma Analytics, CELUS, and enterprise financial systems.
• Ability to supervise and collaborate across campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for planning, acquisition, licensing, assessment, renewal, and lifecycle management of the library's electronic resources.
• Manage the library's electronic resources budget, currently exceeding $2 million annually.
• Negotiate electronic resource licenses and vendor agreements while maintaining relationships with publishers, vendors, and university stakeholders.
• Lead the assessment of electronic resource collections using usage statistics, cost-per-use analysis, financial data, and other measures.
• Supervise, mentor, and support the Access & Discovery Librarian and guide the Electronic Resources Unit.
• Collaborate on authentication, discovery services, and management of A–Z database lists for Hunt and Hazy Libraries.
• Oversee electronic resource reporting, usage statistics, and data management using COUNTER/SUSHI standards and analytics tools.
• Participate in library planning, committees, and professional development to advance library services.
