Job summary

Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks an ED aide to support nursing staff in the Emergency Department. You will assist in patient care, monitor status, and help with routine tests, working under an RN within a team focused on safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

Job description

The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 49,000 patients per year and has 55 beds. The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac, stroke and behavioral health. Additionally, staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. Our rapid care area is designated for minor illnesses. Staff members are outgoing and positive and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.

Summary

Functions under the supervision of the RN in a cooperative effort with the health care team to assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties and specialty tests. Maintains the standards of nursing care for all patients and implements the policies and procedures of the Emergency Department, Hospital, and Nursing Department.

$20.00 to $27.29 Based On Experience
