Job summary
Georgia-Pacific LLC in Perdue Hill, AL is seeking an E&I Technician to support planning, procurement, and documentation for electrical and instrumentation maintenance. The role works closely with Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, and Operations to sustain the preventative maintenance program, and may participate in on‑call rotation for facility emergencies and off‑shift requirements.
The position starts at $26.80 per hour, with a 6:00 am to 2:30 pm schedule, Monday–Friday, and may include
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years or more of electrical experience in industrial manufacturing or the military OR a two (2) year technical degree with one (1) year or more of electrical experience in industrial manufacturing or the military.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, motor controllers and drives.
- Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks relative to the maintenance department’s workload.
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders.
- Monitor equipment and machinery for electrical maintenance deficiencies.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work environment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls.
- Perform work in high and/or confined spaces.
