Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a hands-on technician to support installation, maintenance, and improvement of automated control systems at Georgetown, SC and other site locations. The role includes troubleshooting PLC/HMI/SCADA, testing, and basic diagnostics to ensure reliable equipment and processes.
Travel to multiple sites within North Carolina and South Carolina is required, with SC as home site. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Support the installation, maintenance, and improvement of automated control systems used in manufacturing and terminal operations.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related automation technologies.
Perform system testing, validation, and basic diagnostics to support reliable equipment and process performance.
Contribute to control system modifications and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Apply established engineering and maintenance practices while collaborating with team members to support day-to-day operations and project activities.
Follow all safety procedures, including JSA, LOTO, confined space, and PPE requirements.
This role works in an industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to varying temperatures, heights, confined spaces, and areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work, as well as periods of standing, climbing, and lifting as part of daily responsibilities. The primary location is in Georgetown, SC, and travel to other plant locations is expected.
Competitive base salary, $77,180 to $102,900, and participation in our annual incentive plan
