Job summary

Heidelberg Materials AG in Georgetown, SC seeks an E&I Technician to support installation, maintenance, and improvement of automated control systems across manufacturing sites.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, perform testing and calibration, and assist with control system modifications while adhering to safety procedures. Travel to multiple North/South Carolina sites is required as home base is Georgetown.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and control systems (must be able to diagnose and resolve issues).
• Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar).
• Experience with instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, temperature) and calibration helpful.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and loop diagrams.
• Solid understanding of industrial process control systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, maintenance, and improvement of automated control systems used in manufacturing and terminal operations.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving PLC, HMI, SCADA issues and related automation technologies.
• Perform system testing, validation, and basic diagnostics to ensure reliable equipment and processes.
• Contribute to control system modifications and continuous improvement initiatives for safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures including JSA, LOTO, confined space, and PPE requirements.
