Job summary

Twin Rivers Paper Company, headquartered in Madawaska, Maine, seeks an E&I Supervisor to lead electrical and instrumentation maintenance at the Madawaska Mill. The role reports to the E&I Superintendent and focuses on safety, reliability, and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance on the floor, planning shutdowns, enforcing MOS, and ensuring environmental compliance while liaising with safety, purchasing, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical or Instrumentation.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pulp and paper or industrial setting.
• Active supports and promotes safe work practices.
• Ability to communicate and listen effectively.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Must possess strong attention to detail and have good time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety audits and safety meetings, investigates incidents, and supports safety improvements.
• Coordinates maintenance activities and spends time on the shop floor guiding trades.
• Plans shutdowns with production and ensures basic care and timely repairs.
• Evaluates demands and coordinates priorities to support operation.
• Applies MOS in daily activities and supports MOS meetings.
• Deals with outside service representatives and vendors to ensure cost and quality for supplies.
• Ensures compliance with policies and the collective agreement and implements necessary measures.
• Provides leadership and guidance to tradesmen and promotes problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Plans and organizes work to ensure efficient daily operation of the department.
• Monitors environmental compliance and notifies environmental personnel as appropriate.
• Ensures tradesmen have tools, materials, and resources needed.
• Ensures adequate training to support department activities and future manpower needs.
• Responsible for motor repairs and inventory of spares.
• Keeps time and attendance, employee records, and reports.
