Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator to support hyperscale data center projects nationwide. This remote role focuses on accurate hard-bid estimates and competitive proposals for large electrical and instrumentation systems.

You will collaborate with design and procurement teams to develop labor hours, material pricing, and vendor quotes, while ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Electrical & Instrumentation estimating experience.
• Experience preparing estimates exceeding $25 million in electrical value.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards, and industrial electrical construction.
• Excellent blueprint reading, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, budget, and hard-bid estimates for large electrical and instrumentation projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for medium- and low-voltage systems, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, conduit, cable tray, fiber optics, controls, fire alarm, security, and instrumentation.
• Develop labor hours, material pricing, equipment costs, and indirect construction costs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify project risks and recommend value engineering opportunities.
• Partner with engineering, operations, procurement, and project management to develop winning proposals.
• Support bid reviews, client presentations, negotiations, and change order pricing.

Our client is seeking a skilled estimator to develop competitive, accurate estimates for complex electrical and instrumentation construction projects supporting the infrastructure powering AI, cloud computing, and the digital future.
