Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator for large hyperscale data center projects. You will prepare complete estimates for electrical, instrumentation, low-voltage, and controls from conceptual budgeting to final bid submission.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of E&I estimating, 3+ years in hyperscale data centers or similar industrial EPCs, and strong blueprint/spec interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Electrical & Instrumentation estimating experience.
• 3+ years estimating hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large industrial EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards.
• Advanced quantity takeoff experience.
• Experience evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop indirect cost estimates including temporary power, site logistics, and general conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete conceptual, budgetary, and hard bid estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, one-lines, P&IDs, and project documentation.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for MV/LV systems, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and cabling.
• Develop labor estimates using productivity factors.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare equipment pricing and material cost analyses.
• Develop contingency recommendations and participate in value engineering reviews.
• Coordinate with operations, project management, engineering, and procurement teams.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and client estimate reviews.
