Job summary

IES is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating for large-scale data center projects. This role blends senior-level estimating with field knowledge to price complex electrical scopes and coordinate with CAD/BIM teams.

The ideal candidate has hyperscale data center experience, a hands-on background, and proficiency with AccuBid, Bluebeam, Procore, and ACC. Remote work is possible with travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical estimating experience pricing large-scale data center work.
• Hyperscale data center experience with conveyance and distribution.
• Hands-on field background in electrical construction.
• Proficiency with AccuBid and tools like Bluebeam, Procore, ACC.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and NEC/NFPA standards.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 25–30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate electrical estimates for hyperscale data center projects, including conveyance and distribution.
• Lead preconstruction activities—scope quantification, labor/material pricing, and project preparation.
• Support design-build scopes, RFI responses, and submittal reviews.
• Contribute to value engineering for cost, reliability and constructability.
• Verify designs and coordinate BIM modeling with CAD/BIM teams.
• Coordinate electrical scope with structural and mechanical trades.
• Review subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide field guidance and participate in kickoffs and progress reviews.
• Support the modular data center team across estimating and operations.
