The University Campus Store is seeking a part-time E-Commerce Website Intern to support online retail operations, update SuiteCommerce Advanced website within NetSuite, and assist with catalog updates under the E-Commerce Manager. Job Summary

The E-Commerce Website and Catalog Intern supports the Campus Store’s online retail operations by assisting with website maintenance, product and catalog updates, eCommerce content, and light front-end development projects. Working with the E-Commerce Manager, this position helps keep the Campus Store’s Suite Commerce Advanced ( SCA ) website accurate, current, and easy to use while supporting promotional and operational needs across the online store.

This role provides hands‑on experience with enterprise eCommerce systems, digital merchandising, structured web development processes, and data‑quality work in a live retail environment. Customer data and CRM maintenance projects may also be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and updating the Campus Store’s SuiteCommerce Advanced ( SCA ) website within NetSuite.
• Update website content, landing pages, navigation, promotional messaging, and product-related content in coordination with eCommerce and marketing teams.
• Support product and catalog work by reviewing item information, images, descriptions, categories, attributes, and website merchandising for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with light front‑end development and website projects using HTML , CSS , and JavaScript within the SCA framework.
• Implement and test site enhancements, promotional updates, and user‑experience improvements across devices and browsers before deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic website bugs, layout issues, content errors, and performance concerns; elevate more complex issues as appropriate.
• Support site configuration, routine maintenance, and documentation of website changes, testing results, and basic workflows.
• Collaborate with eCommerce, marketing, and other Campus Store teams to prioritize and complete website and catalog updates.
• Assist with customer data and CRM maintenance tasks, including duplicate record review and data imports, as business needs require.
• Participate in team meetings and follow established development, quality assurance, and data‑management standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student.

Preferences

• Current University of Utah student, preferably with an interest in in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Development, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of HTML , CSS , and basic JavaScript.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and basic web accessibility practices.
• Interest in eCommerce systems, digital merchandising, product information, and online retail operations.
• Exposure to content management systems, eCommerce platforms, NetSuite, or similar enterprise systems.
• Basic understanding of version control, such as Git, and structured testing or quality assurance practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with product, website, and customer data.
• Ability to learn new systems, manage multiple assignments, communicate clearly, and follow established standards and deadlines.
