Job summary

The University of Utah Campus Store is seeking an Accounting Intern to support internal accounting needs across multiple locations. You will assist with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and data entry while gaining essential industry skills.

You will also provide support in the cash room and handle administrative duties, including calendars and email management using Outlook. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and effective communication within a university environment,

Qualifications

  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service orientation with urgency in meeting goals and deadlines.

Job Summary

The Accounting Intern supports the internal accounting needs of the Campus Store. In this role, you will gain experience and learn essential industry skills by assisting our team with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and other projects for our multiple locations. You will help ensure our records are consistent with all submitted financial statements. As an Accounting Intern, you will provide support in our cash room and also perform administrative duties, such as data entry and filing. This position requires the employee to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of electronic e-mail systems, preferably Outlook, including the e-mail and calendaring functions of the system.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student.
