Job summary

Kroger is seeking an e-Commerce team member in Brookings, OR to efficiently select and prepare online orders for customer pickup. You will ensure freshness, assist with payments, load orders into customers' cars, and deliver a positive shopping experience aligned with Kroger's core values.

The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and excellent communication with customers while working in a fast-paced store environment. Training will be provided for order selectors and POS processing.

Qualifications

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector and store products appropriately.
• Initiate and complete selection process for online orders.
• Read and follow directions in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond professionally.
• Load orders into customers' cars and ensure order accuracy.
• Process orders through the POS system.
• Follow substitutions procedures for out-of-stock items.
• Scan and bag orders while maintaining standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions at pickup.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies to e-Commerce supervisor and notify management of repairs.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and training for new team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards and work well under pressure.
• Handle conflicts calmly and with integrity.
