JOB OVERVIEW

At Lavazza North America, the ECommerce Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating, all the ecommerce operational activities with interaction with other departments such logistics and Customer Service, Demand Planning and IT ensuring efficiency and, seek continuous improvement of existing processes as well as maintain a forward-looking view toward scalable growth across all ECommerce Channels.

ECommerce is a key priority for Lavazza on both B2C and B2B ends, it is a strategic high-potential growth engine, across DTC, Amazon, E-retailers and B2B websites (Flavia.com). This role will work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, IT, ECommerce Channel Partners and other peers to ensure consistency and growth through all channels.

Primary activities include: Overseeing and expediting various operational aspects of our ECommerce business, including Amazon 1P Order coordination, information flow between Customer Service and Logistics, allocation and forecasting, replenishment across multiple warehouses and channels, shipping coordination for 2P and 3P channels, supply chain consistency, inventory planning, IT issue resolution, and providing ongoing support for all Retailer, Away From Home, and Office Coffee Services activations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and expedite Amazon 1P orders management, ensuring accurate and timely processing, fulfilment, and pick up of Amazon 1P orders across all vendor codes.
  • Oversee accurate updating and daily monitoring of ASIN availability on Amazon 1P.
  • Interface and improve the flow of information between Customer Service and Logistics teams to enhance order accuracy across all ECommerce customers, shipment tracking, and customer experience.
  • Track movement and arrival of all goods, including custom builds, across the supply chain, communicating status and changes with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate goods exceptions, disruptions and constraints that arise with proper timely escalation.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, CS and 3PL warehouses and Amazon transportation teams (ESS) to mitigate to resolve any transportation related concerns while identifying KPIs to monitor and improve processes.
  • Interface with the IT department to resolve any IT issues impacting the flow of ECommerce operations, ensuring seamless system integration and data integrity, including with 3PL information systems, order management systems (i.e., SAP and CIN7).
  • Act as the primary liaison between the ECommerce to Customer Service and Logistics teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration to drive operational excellence and KPI adherence.
  • Continually identify and document best practices; work collaboratively with other departments and supply chain partners to adapt and implement best practices.
  • Ensure and optimize ongoing compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and ECommerce partner requirements, including Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.
  • Monitor transmission of all D2C orders throughout the order fulfilment lifecycle ensuring timely fulfilment per all channel requirements, correcting, or escalating any inventory or IT issues as needed.
  • Handle allocation and forecasting of products across multiple warehouses and channels to ensure optimal inventory levels for ongoing and seasonal demand while minimizing stockouts.
  • Manage ECommerce inventory forecast in collaboration with demand team to accurately ensure stock availability.
  • Oversee consistency and efficiency throughout the ECommerce order flow, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the forecasting and demand team to maintain inventory levels aligned with forecasted needs while identifying and mitigating potential inventory risks.
  • Coordinate sales planning activities to optimize product availability while minimizing overstocks and out-of-stock scenarios, leveraging demand forecasting data and market insights, particularly during key sales periods including, Prime Day, Black Friday, Holiday, etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience launching and distributing products through Amazon’s network & marketplace.
  • Hands-on experience with logistics and inventory movements and flows.
  • Proven track record of driving consistent improvements across operations with improvement of relevant KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions and problem-solving.
  • Methodical in analyzing processes and systems to fully understand their functions.
  • Proven track record of streamlining processes or reducing waste.
  • Experience with order management systems, ERPs, logistics portals.
  • Food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Solution-focused personality and ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  • Minimal travel expectations: less than 10% per year, typically to NYC/West Chester office as needed.
