Job description

At Blue Marble, we believe in the power of play to spark curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. We create innovative toys and experiences that inspire kids—and kids at heart—around the world.

We're seeking a hands-on Ecommerce Operations Manager to lead our ecommerce operations team and drive excellence across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other retail platforms. In this role, you'll oversee catalog integrity, content optimization, listing quality, and platform integrations while identifying opportunities to improve processes, scalability, and team performance.

This is a highly collaborative position for a leader who enjoys both strategy and execution. You'll partner across departments, develop best practices, and help ensure our products are discoverable, buyable, and positioned for success in a fast-paced, evolving ecommerce environment.

What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities:
  • Listing quality across all platforms — titles, bullets, descriptions, imagery, A+ content, Brand Story, and video
  • Suppression resolution — stranded inventory, non-searchable listings, active-but-not-live issues, and integration errors
  • Management of PIM strategy and integration (Salsify/Go Flow)
  • Asset organization and file structure (SharePoint) across all SKUs
Backend Item Setup & Data Integrity
  • Develop strategy for ongoing accuracy of catalog inputs including review SOPs and communication with other departments — UPC, case pack, dimensions, compliance info, pricing, age range, max order quantity, and platform-specific fields
  • Strategy ownership for variation setup and maintenance (FBA, Vendor, WFS) across all platforms
SKU Lifecycle Management
  • A/B and split testing strategy across product images and copy, and adoption of winning variations
  • Ensure all new launch benchmarks are hit including compliance, shipments, marketing, communication to stakeholders, iteration and market expansion
  • Ongoing product health — keyword optimization, buyability tracking, product change monitoring, and review analysis
  • End-of-life process — discontinue communication, documentation, and lessons learned
Account Health & Platform Compliance
  • EDI/API flow performance across POs, dropship, and ground shipments
  • Chargeback and shortage claim disputes, co-op monitoring, and operational performance monitoring
  • Fee tracking and reduction (FBA fees, chargeback exposure, co-op, SIOC certification costs)
  • Account health issues across platforms — compliance flags, listing suppressions, inventory health flags
  • Support cases, managing platform support case creation, escalation paths, resolution tracking and SOP creation
  • Oversee decisions around account security, user permissions, API access, and company information
  • Response to policy changes, hazmat flags, appeals, and account health violations
  • Track, dispute, and problem solve chargebacks, shortage claims, and payment disputes
  • Escalation of financial discrepancies to the right internal stakeholders
  • Direct management of the team members who own the work above — 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development
  • Team and individual goal-setting aligned to department objectives
  • Workload distribution, prioritization, and capacity planning
  • Onboarding and ramp plans (30/60/90-day milestones) for new team members
  • Coaching on platform best practices, tools, and skill development
  • Keeping the team current on platform algorithm and policy changes
  • Personnel issues, in partnership with HR
Tools, Process & Documentation
  • The team's use of ecommerce software tools across platforms
  • Process documentation, SOPs, and workflow improvements
  • Identifying opportunities to automate or streamline recurring operational tasks
  • Consistent use of shared systems (SharePoint, project management tools, etc.)
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
  • 6+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, catalog management, or a related retail/marketplace role, including hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central
  • Prior experience directly managing or supervising a team, with a genuine interest in developing people, not just reviewing their output
  • Excel fluency and data analytics experience
  • Experience with PIM systems (Salsify, Go Flow, or similar) and content management workflows
  • Solid understanding of marketplace compliance, account health, and platform policy requirements
  • Experience resolving chargebacks, shortage claims, and EDI-related issues, including knowing when to estimate versus handle directly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams
  • A proactive, process-improvement mindset and comfort operating in a fast-changing ecommerce environment
  • Experience with Walmart, Target Plus, and other non-Amazon marketplace platforms
  • Prior experience with A/B testing, content optimization for ecommerce listings and customer experience
Where You’ll Work
  • Location: Onsite in Ashland, Oregon
  • Work Style: Collaborative, hands-on, and fast-paced
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus opportunities
  • 401(k) to help you plan for the future
  • Flexible paid time off—we trust you to recharge when you need it
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • A creative, collaborative, and yes—playful culture
  • The chance to help shape iconic and emerging toy brands
  • Real opportunities to develop within a dynamic, high-growth organization.
