This leader will establish the analytics roadmap, reporting infrastructure, and governance needed to transform data into actionable business intelligence across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Product Development, Customer Service, and HR.

As the company's first analytics leader, this role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution—developing scalable reporting, improving data quality, delivering executive insights, and building a data‑driven culture that supports growth and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Balance long‑term capability development with near‑term business priorities and measurable results.
  • Foster a culture of fact‑based decision‑making across the organization.

  • Reduce manual reporting through automation and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Deliver recurring executive reporting and ad‑hoc business analyses.
  • Ensure operational reporting aligns with financial reporting and established data definitions.
Business & Commercial Analytics
  • Analyze sales, customers, products, channels, brands, retailers, promotions, and profitability.
  • Develop customer segmentation, retention, lifetime value, and marketing performance analyses.
  • Support pricing, forecasting, assortment planning, product launches, and commercial decision making.
  • Identify growth opportunities, operational risks, cost savings, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop analytics supporting demand planning, inventory, supply chain, manufacturing, fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Improve visibility into forecast accuracy, inventory productivity, margins, and profitability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure analytical outputs align with financial reporting.
  • Establish enterprise data governance, ownership, quality standards, and a scalable "single source of truth."
  • Partner with IT to improve data architecture, integrations, master data, and information flows across ERP, CRM, HRIS, eCommerce, finance, and operational systems.
  • Evaluate and implement business intelligence, visualization, and analytics technologies.
  • Develop scalable data models, reporting structures, and automated data pipelines.
  • Stay current on emerging analytics technologies, AI capabilities, and industry best practices.
Advanced Analytics
  • Develop forecasting, predictive models, scenario planning, trend analysis, and statistical models to support business decisions.
  • Apply AI and automation where appropriate to improve reporting, forecasting, workflow efficiency, and business insights.
  • Ensure analytical models are practical, well‑documented, and aligned with business needs.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Product Development, Human Resources, and executive leadership to identify opportunities, improve performance, and support strategic decision making.
