Job summary

Encore Technologies is seeking a Director of E-commerce to own the end‑to‑end ecommerce engine for a nine-figure DTC brand. You will drive CRO, merchandising, and conversion optimization with a fast, remote team and no red tape.

You’ll lead Shopify development, collaborate across marketing, product and ops, and report directly to the Head of Marketing. Ideal candidates have deep CRO and leadership track records in high‑growth ecommerce.

Qualifications

• E-commerce leadership experience, ideally at a nine-figure DTC brand.
• A true doer mentality. You can execute and diagnose problems with minimal support.
• Deep CRO expertise: identify root causes and fix UX, speed, or offer issues.
• A merchant's mindset: push hero products, simplify choices, and promote value.
• Low ego, high standards with autonomy in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own site conversion rate as the north star, balancing it with AOV, margin and CX.
• Lead site merchandising end to end across landing pages, navigation, collections and PDPs.
• Build and execute testing roadmaps using qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Manage Shopify roadmap: features, maintenance, account experience and SEO.
• Collaborate with Acquisition, Brand, Retention, Product, and Ops on launches and promos.
• Lead in-house Shopify developer plus agencies, reporting to Head of Marketing.
