Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co. is seeking an E-Coat Hanger/Scape/Prep Skilled for the 3rd shift at our Reading, PA location. You will be responsible for preparing truck bodies for the E-Coat process, ensuring an even finish.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of hand tools, with tasks including operating precision sanding tools and loading/unloading heavy equipment. Enjoy big company perks in a small company culture while taking the next step in your career.

• Operate and set up precision scraping and sanding tools.
• Sanding and scraping surfaces of metal parts.
• Basic use of hand tools: drill, rivet gun, wrenches, and caulk gun.
• Loading/unloading very heavy equipment.
• Manually push/pull equipment based on job order.

E-Coat Hanger / Scape / Prep Skilled: 3rd Shift

Location: Reading, PA

How You Will Make an Impact

You would help us prepare the truck body for the E-Coat process. E-Coat Hangers make sure bodies have an even finish and meet the requirements for the E-Coat process.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Operate and set up one of several types of precision scraping and sanding tools
• Responsible for sanding and scraping internal and external surfaces of metal parts to a smooth and even finish specific to required dimensions
• Basic use of hand tools: drill, rivet gun, wrenches and caulk gun
• Loading/unloading very heavy equipment
• Responsible for manually pushing/pulling equipment and all parts from inventory based on the job order

Required Credentials

Knowledge of hand tools is a plus though not a requirement
