Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking an E-Coat Hanger/Scape/Prep Skiled worker for the 3rd shift in Reading, PA. You will help prepare truck bodies for the E-Coat process to ensure an even finish that meets process requirements.

You will operate precision scraping and sanding tools to finish internal and external metal surfaces. Heavy lifting is involved, and you will use drills, rivet guns, wrenches, and caulk guns as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hand tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up precision scraping and sanding tools.
• Sand and scrape internal and external surfaces of metal parts to a smooth finish meeting required dimensions.
• Basic use of hand tools: drill, rivet gun, wrenches and caulk gun.
• Loading/unloading very heavy equipment.
• Responsible for manually pushing/pulling equipment and all parts from inventory based on the job order.

How You Will Make an Impact

You would help us prepare the truck body for the E-Coat process. E-Coat Hangers make sure bodies have an even finish and meet the requirements for the E-Coat process.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Operate and set up one of several types of precision scraping and sanding tools
• Responsible for sanding and scraping internal and external surfaces of metal parts to a smooth and even finish specific to required dimensions
• Basic use of hand tools: drill, rivet gun, wrenches and caulk gun
• Loading/unloading very heavy equipment
• Responsible for manually pushing/pulling equipment and all parts from inventory based on the job order

Required Credentials

Knowledge of hand tools is a plus though not a requirement
