Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled E-Coat Hanger / Scape / Prep professional in Reading, PA. The role focuses on preparing truck bodies for the E-Coat process, ensuring an even finish and compliance with E-Coat specs.

You will operate scraping and sanding tools, handle internal/external surfaces, and assist with loading heavy equipment. Training and development opportunities are available within a large, distributed network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hand tools preferred but not required.
• Experience using scraping/sanding tools is beneficial.
• Ability to load/unload heavy equipment as needed.
• Capability to move equipment manually and follow job orders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up precision scraping and sanding tools.
• Sand and scrape internal and external surfaces to ensure smooth, even finish per specs.
• Use basic hand tools to support the prep process.
• Load/unload very heavy equipment as part of job duties.
• Manually push/pull equipment and inventory according to job orders.

E-Coat Hanger / Scape / Prep Skilled

Location: Reading, PA

How You Will Make an Impact

You would help us prepare the truck body for the E-Coat process. E-Coat Hangers make sure bodies have an even finish and meet the requirements for the E-Coat process.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Operate and set up one of several types of precision scraping and sanding tools
• Responsible for sanding and scraping internal and external surfaces of metal parts to a smooth and even finish specific to required dimensions
• Basic use of hand tools: drill, rivet gun, wrenches and caulk gun
• Loading/unloading very heavy equipment
• Responsible for manually pushing/pulling equipment and all parts from inventory based on the job order

Required Credentials

• Knowledge of hand tools is a plus though not a requirement
