Job summary

Whizz in Washington, DC seeks an Asset Recovery Specialist to reclaim electric bicycles and mopeds from debtors on a 1099 contract basis. You will travel across DC, coordinate with law enforcement when needed, and use CRM tools to track cases. Prior security or law enforcement exposure is highly valued.

Join a fast-moving team focused on efficient recoveries, with pay of $20–$22 per hour and travel reimbursements for gas and tolls. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in security, police, army, or a related field.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Car ownership and willingness to use it for the job.
• Former or retired law enforcement experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct round trips to collect and retrieve electric bicycles, mopeds from debtors.
• Confidently communicate with debtors regarding outstanding balances and e-bike collections.
• Manage tasks using CRM, Google Sheets/Excel, and Notion software.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by other departments.
• Ability to effectively communicate with law enforcement and delinquent customers.
• Willingness to work in various parts of Washington, D.C. travel within the state and other cities for day trips.
