Qualifications

• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• At least one year of student teaching, approved internship or clinical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials to meet student needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Leverage technology to support teaching and learning.
• Monitor student achievement through ongoing assessment.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Foster a positive classroom environment and professional relationships.
• Communicate with parents and colleagues to support student growth.
