Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a dedicated Dyslexia Support Teacher in New Braunfels, Texas, to provide small-group dyslexia intervention services. You will serve as an instructional resource primarily focusing on improving the dyslexia programs across campuses. A Bachelor’s degree, valid Texas teaching certificate, and knowledge of evidence-based dyslexia instruction methods are required.

Your role will include assessing students, maintaining records, and collaborating with district coordinators to ensure effective program delivery.

Qualifications

• Three years teaching in elementary reading/language arts.
• Previous experience in providing reading intervention.
• Bilingual certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for students identified with dyslexia.
• Assist administration/teachers in identifying students with characteristics of dyslexia.
• Administer dyslexia assessments to students.

Skills

Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instruction

Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of IEP/504 accommodations

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas teaching certificate

Endorsement or certification as Reading Specialist
