Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit (JFD) is hiring a Dynamics 365 CRM Technical Lead for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will own the Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse, guiding architecture decisions and hands-on delivery across development, testing, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/IS or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring, administering, and supporting Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement in production.
• Experience leading D365 solution design and implementation including directing external partners or developers.
• Ability to work independently across multiple roles on a small team: administrator, solution designer, Power Platform developer, analyst, and Tier 2/3 support.
• Strong knowledge of Dataverse, model-driven Power Apps, Power Automate, D365 security, and solution/release management.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

As the Dynamics 365 CRM Technical Lead, you will own how Dynamics 365 supports JFD’s operations now and into the future. We are a small IT team, so this is a hands‑on role: you will set direction and make architecture decisions, then build, administer, and support what you design. This is a fully remote position.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Platform Ownership

Essential Duties

• Educate stakeholders on D365 functionality and promote effective use of standard platform capabilities.


• Evaluate new Dynamics 365 capabilities and Microsoft platform investments to identify opportunities for operational improvement and business value.


• Review and approve system changes, customizations, and integration designs.


• Define future‑state business processes and solution architectures across D365 applications.


• Partner with business teams to resolve complex process and system challenges.


• Coach and mentor analysts and project team members on solution design principles and D365 best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.


• 5+ years of hands‑on experience configuring, administering, and supporting Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement in production.


• Experience leading D365 solution design and implementation, including directing external partners or developers.


• Ability to work independently across multiple roles on a small team: administrator, solution designer, Power Platform developer, analyst, and Tier 2/3 support.


• Strong knowledge of Dataverse, model‑driven Power Apps, Power Automate, D365 security, and solution/release management.
