Job summary

YMCA of South Florida is seeking an enthusiastic Special Skills Instructors Instructor to plan and teach Travel ball Youth Sports for ages 3–17. You will develop age-appropriate activities, coordinate with leadership, and promote YMCA Youth Sports in the community.

The role involves supervising coaches, traveling to tournaments, and ensuring safety and positive experiences for all participants, families, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two+ years' experience teaching Youth Sports to children.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and plans age-appropriate Youth Sports for YMCA participants.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to shift.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to promote Youth Sports in the community.
• Plan, supervise and implement programs following Risk Management and Safety procedures.
• Train and support volunteers on Youth Sports coaching.
• Travel to sport tournaments.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding progress, achievements and concerns.
• Attend YMCA staff meetings and program events.
• Participate in professional development and coaches’ meetings.
• Report incidents to Program Director/HR within 24 hours.
