Job summary

YMCA of South Florida is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor to plan and teach programs for ages 3–17 under the Sports Director. You will liaise with staff, coordinate community outreach, and ensure safe, engaging activities aligned with YMCA values.

The role emphasizes high energy, public speaking, and strong customer service, with a focus on safety and positive youth development in a dynamic outdoor and indoor setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two+ years of experience participating in or teaching Youth Sports to children or equivalent experience.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the shift.
• Develop age-appropriate Youth Sports for YMCA participants.
• Coordinate and promote Youth Sports within the community.
• Plan and implement programs in line with YMCA policies and safety procedures.
• Communicate progress and concerns with parents.
• Train and support volunteers on Youth Sports coaching.
