Job summary

Hebrew Academy-New City is seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor with current WSI certification to lead swim lessons and oversee the camp water program. You will teach participants of varying skill levels, emphasize water safety, and ensure a high-quality swimming experience for campers.

Hours run June 26 through Aug 19, Monday through Thursday, 9:30am–3:30pm, with trip days adjusted as needed. Applicants must hold WSI and Red Cross lifeguard certifications and commit to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current valid WSI Certification.
• Red Cross lifeguard training or equivalent.
• Ability to apply learned skills to real situations.
• Proficient in teaching swimming to campers of various ages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups.
• Monitor pool area to ensure swimmer safety.
• Supervise the swim program and lifeguards.
• Provide guidance on swimming techniques and skills development.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and routine maintenance.
• Administer first aid or CPR in emergencies.
• Collaborate with swim consultant to optimize campers' swimming experience.
