Job summary

Inland Empire Health Plan is seeking a Community Wellness Coach to lead nutrition education, fitness classes, and personal coaching for IEHP members and the community.

You will design curriculum, deliver group sessions, monitor progress, document referrals, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. Travel to designated IEHP locations may be required, with CPR/First Aid certification expected on hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a nutrition coach or instructor.
• Experience teaching nutrition and developing nutritious meal plans in a group setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Must obtain Food Handler’s Card, CPR/First Aid, ServSafe, Mandated Reporter, and Child Development certifications within specified windows.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for certification with training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead group classes across nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle wellness.
• Document participant referrals to close care gaps and support daily operations.
• Develop and refine evidence-based wellness curricula blending public health research and community needs.
• Provide personalized or group nutrition and fitness plans to meet goals.
• Maintain safe, inclusive environments and report facility needs; deliver CPR/First Aid when required.
• Coordinate scheduling, records, and reporting; travel to IEHP locations as needed.
