Forward Air Corp. in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Operations Team Lead to coordinate day-to-day activities for a frontline team in a warehouse environment. You will ensure workflows, safety, and SOPs are followed to meet daily targets and KPIs, under supervision, with hands-on support on the floor.

Responsibilities include scheduling shipments, directing staff, assisting with workload assignments, and using WMS/SAP. This on-site role requires strong English communication and physical stamina.

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience: 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics operations, or multimodal terminal environment; lead or coordinator role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and guide frontline employees.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing operational demands within established procedures.
• Physical Demands: Extensive standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting for 8-12 hours per shift, with lifting up to 50lbs and occasionally 75lbs with assistance.
• Environment: On-site setting with exposure to noisy dock and various elements.

Mansioni

• Schedule ocean and domestic shipments.
• Coordinate and direct daily work activities for the team based on schedules and plans.
• Assist the supervisor in executing daily volume, labor, and workload assignments.
• Conduct basic system inquiries and manual searches to resolve inventory, shipment, or order discrepancies.
• Coordinate handling of urgent orders, cancellations, and special service requirements.
• Work with the customer on schedule changes.
• Utilize WMS for all systems work (SAP).
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues promptly.
• Perform audits on outgoing shipments and monitor quality and safety compliance.
